Consultation by a physiotherapist
During the consultation, the patient’s medical history is reviewed, an examination is carried out (assessing muscle strength/balance, joint condition and function), the patient is introduced to the correct jaw/tongue positions, and the appropriate exercises are individually selected. Further treatment plan is discussed with the physiotherapist.
Aesthetic physiotherapy
Intraoral massage is performed on the buccal side of the mouth, effectively correcting the inner facial muscles. The treatment relaxes the muscles of mastication and relieves tension in the jaw, helping to prevent teeth grinding problems.
Physiotherapy
Mobilisation loosens the joint capsule, moves the synovial fluid and improves movement between the articular surfaces. This not only results in reduced pain, but also restores the joints to the desired position and normalises the range of movement.
Myofunctional therapy
Myofunctional therapy involves an individual programme of exercises to help develop the function and function of the muscles of the lips, tongue, chewing and face. The programme is designed for children aged 5-6 years and adults.
