The effect of self-massage

Improves blood circulation and promotes lymphatic drainage. This gives the skin a healthy appearance, luminosity and contours the face. You can use a cooled and a warm stone for self-massage. A chilled stone (stored in the fridge) gives a feeling of invigoration, reduces puffiness and swelling of the eyelids, tones the skin, and acts as a workout for the small facial blood vessels (capillaries). The warm stone (kept in warm water) relaxes the muscles of the mimic more quickly, reduces skin irritation, speeds up skin regeneration, and also treats pigment spots.

Therapeutic properties. Obsidian is an excellent talisman against any disease. It has a calming effect, relieves pain and tension and improves blood circulation. It has a regenerative effect on the skin: it speeds up the healing of wounds and burns, reduces the likelihood of scarring, and smooths the skin.

Self-massage with stone (instructions for use)

It is important to understand and perform self-massage correctly, and it is also important to use this tool regularly to have visible and lasting results. It only takes 5-10 minutes every day and you will enjoy the results of self-massage for a long time.

Remove make-up and all impurities from your face. To ensure that the stone glides easily over the surface of the skin, it is necessary to use a facial oil or oil-based serum (e.g. FaceMyo serum with roses) that does not absorb quickly. The stone should not be subject to any friction during the self-massage process. You can moisturise your skin with a hydrating serum before applying the serum to your face to further hydrate and nourish your skin. If you use a hydrolatte, wait for it to soak into the skin before applying another product of your choice and then you can start the massage.

Swipe the stone over the skin using medium pressure, and use light pressure in areas where the skin is thin and sensitive. Hold the stone at an angle of 10-45 degrees. If you are not yet comfortable with the movements, hold the stone just above the skin at an angle of 10-20 degrees to protect your skin from irritation while you master the technique and find the best pressure and angle for you.

Each angle and edge of the Gua Sha stone is dedicated to a specific area of the face.

It is recommended to do self-massage regularly at least 3-4 times a week, and if you want you can do it every day. This will help you achieve lasting results faster.

Stone hygiene

After self-massage with stone, it is essential to take proper care of the hygiene of the stone. Wash the stone with soap or your own face wash under running water, then dry it. It is recommended to wipe with a disinfectant before each use to avoid bacteria that can cause inflammation.
